DESCRIPTION:

JJ Gannons Hotel was a small, independent family hotel based in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. It was developed into a boutique hotel providing luxury accommodation, an intimate bar and a fine dining restaurant.

The initial brief to Zetagram* by the client was to develop the business image and marketing material to help promote the hotel locally and online.

After an initial design consultation, Zetagram visited the hotel to shoot photos for the brochure and to get a feel for the atmosphere of the business. While photographing the hotel rooms, the colours of the abstract art on the walls created by the client stood out as a good colour palette to apply to the rest of the corporate identity.

With a logo already in place, Zetagram refreshed this flat design with the new colour palette and enhanced the lettering to feel more luxurious and three dimensional. A light and modern serif font was carefully selected to complement the logo and to build into a new corporate identity.

This style was further expanded and extended into business cards and letterheads, and further refined when designing the hotel brochure for local distribution and tourist information centres.

The photography in the brochure was shot and retouched by Zetagram, with stock photography to support where required. The brochure content was also assembled and written by Zetagram, which was later developed into a full XHTML website for an online presence.
